As you cannot use standalone cars on servers (because they don't have your .veh and other files of your standalone car) the only way to use your paintscheme online is to:

- Create a folder called "skins" inside the original car folder.
- Put your paintscheme into the skin folder
- Load the game, and on the car selection screen pick that car, click skins tab, pick your skin.

NOTE: As you already know custom skins aren't automatically downloaded on online sessions. So nobody will see your new skin (except you) unless you have shared your skin with them.

Of course this method won't generate any mismatches

The files should be organized like this (exemple with AC cobra):

image
image

This will give others skins to select in the skin tab.

If using the SKINS folder method, say all players duplicate the same skins in their own skins folder - ie everything the same for all players - will all players see each others custom skins online, or is that only possible with standalones?

Hi! I want to know the same that "the_last_name_left". Let´s say that all player use Abarth Tessaro 450, and each of the players have the same skins "pack" (made by me). We´ll see the other players different?

As far as I know yes, it would work on that way. If all of you have the same skins inside the skin folder then each one of you will appear with your selected skin.

I'm afraid I haven't tested this by myself though. So I hope you'll let me know in the case I'm mistaken ;)

Regards

Hi guys
sorry to dig up old post!
I've done a few online league's here in NewZealand & often we make our own skins, then email to the admin of the league in which he checks over everyone files to fix any errors.
He then puts all the skins created into one pack for everyone to download & he also install the pack onto the server & viola! the first corner mayhem begins!
